Yesterday Celine in going to bed struck her head against the bedstand and suffered heavy pains in back of her neck and in head. Dr. Betts called in. [[underline]] Oct 5 [[/underline]] At office. Afternoon went to the Fair. Visited Goodrich exhibit also the exhibit of the story of railroads in America. - Both remarkable. 
[[underline]] Oct 6 [[/underline]] To office. - Celine much better but still in bed. Afternoon to Fair. Saw the inspiring exhibit of "Firestone" "The making of a [[strikethrough]] t [[/strikethrough]] modern tire" [[strikethrough]] Had [[/strikethrough]] The newspapers publish the threatening address delivered by Hitler today, [[strikethrough]] g [[/strikethrough]] offering his rules for peace or increased destruction and war. This hopeless maniac beast and his lies and threats and crimes belong to a lunatic [[strikethrough]] hospital [[/strikethrough]] ward.

Afternoon visit from Nina & her husband. - They tasted my port-wine made here and liked it Later on visit from George B. & his wife. - They also declare my home made port-wine good. Pleasant meeting, talked with George about future of Bakelite Corporation Showed him my hand written notes and Index thereto.

Went to World's Fair. - This is "Chinese day" more than 20000 there, all well behaved and orderly, and well dressed but bare-headed, with their wives and children. Went to visit the various State Buildings. The most impressive is Washington State - What an enormous country [[strikethrough]] unsettl [[/strikethrough]] and so many unsettled parts. I visited Washington State Seattle in 1910.
