to the Belgian Committee. I did not go because this evening there is a dinner where I am invited by the Hoover Foundation C.R.B at the Union Club, at 7 AM Met many dear friends of the CRB. This dinner is in remembrance of the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Hoover foundation for relief in Belgium during the war. Mr. Herbert Hoover [[strikethrough]] prisided [[/strikethrough]] ^[[presided]] at the table of honor, where a seat for me had been reserved [[strikethrough]] and where I met [[/strikethrough]] on the left of Dr. Percy H. Williams M.D. who served in Belgium during the war. [[strikethrough]] Edward [[/strikethrough]] Edgar  Rickard President of the CR.B. presided with Hooker on his right. Dr. Perrin C. Galpin added a good cheerful speech about reminiscences of the past during the war in Belgium. - Will Froin the writer also brought out some anecdotes. A man from Brussel whose real name is Baron H. van Munchausen and told me his complications where people think his name is merely a joke. A very cheerful evening. Herbert Hoovers' speech was excellent. I complimented him about his recent article in the Saturday Evening post, where he expressed his opinion and suggestions as to what Frank Roosevelt and the men of congress ought to do. All in all a most pleasant and inspiring meeting. Baron de Cartier de Marchionne Ambassador to England sent a cablegram ^[[from London]]
