[[underline]] Feb 11 [[/underline]] Sunday. At home all day writing and reading. Excellent peaceful weather. - Wrote a [[red underline]] long letter to Brooksie now in India. [[/red underline]] - George writes that Brooksie will be home in March. Good news! [[underline]] Feb 12. [[/underline]] Sunny bright pleasant day. [[vertical note in left margin in red]] Brooksie in India [[/left margin]] Had visit of Mr. Vaughan Ceneff (?) 577.NE-96str. Miami who came to consult me about possible utilisation of a bye-product of Ramie cellulose. Referred him to George B. and our laboratories Went out sailing in Pram. Letter from George announces that [[red underline]] Brooksie will be back in March [[/red underline]] just when I had mailed a long letter to Brooksie in India. Evening went with Celine to see the Coconut Grove Movie. [[in purple ink]][[underline]] Feb. 13 [[/underline]] This afternoon went to long motor-ride to Cocoplum and return. and felt in excellent condition. [[underline]] Feb. 14. [[/underline]] Went to [[red underline]] Sears Robuck Store [[/red underline]] to inquire about purchasing a [[red underline]] radio for any yacht. [[/red underline]] [[/purple ink]] - then to Burdine's store. -Large amount of visitors in both stores. - Beautiful bright weather.

Feb. 15. Went to [[red underline]] Sears Roebuck [[/red underline]] Bought a [[red underline]] new Radio [[/red underline]] for the ION which runs by [[red underline]] dry batteries or by city wire. [[/red underline]] with areal. Neatly put up in a little transportable square box. - [[red underline]] Tried it on ION while running. - Went out with ION under sail. [[/red underline]] - Bright sky. Easterly trade-wind but cold. Boat and engine as well as the sails worked well. - But [[red underline]] not a single  fish [[/red underline]] caught on account of [[red underline]] the cold [[/red underline]] surface water of the sea. [[/underline]] Went to Matheson's office to get tickets for the annual Washington Birthday of the Yacht Club. Here is the list
