[[/red underline]] Sunny pleasant day. [[red underline]] Dickie still with her cold. - Hessert [[/red underline]] rid of his cold. [[red underline]] Celine busy with my income tax returns. [[/red underline]] Afternoon went to Yacht Club to see arrival of competing dinghy races.
[[underline]] Feb 25 [[/underline]] (Sunday) Bright morning and warmer. 72° Fahrenheit On making a tour of our garden I find that [[red underline]] most of my trees and  plants have escaped the late frost. Dicky still ill [[/red underline]] in bed from cold Hessert here driving Wrote letter to [[red underline]] Professor van Neek [[/red underline]] on subject of Bakelite etc.  [[underline]] Feb 26. [[/underline]] Beautiful sunny day. [[red underline]] Dickie still suffering [[/red underline]] from her cold. [[red underline]] Hessert [[/red underline]] here with his unusually [[red underline]] clever dog.. [[/red underline]] Sunny but cool. Evening Celine and I went to see a movie at the Coconut Grove theater.. Room filled to the limit with appreciative audience. Excellent color effects. Subject [[red underline]] "Swanee River." [[underline]] Feb 27. [[/underline]] Busy [[red underline]] answering endless letters [[/red underline]] now augmented by paper clippings and letters from my friends in Belgium; who seem to have awakened much interest in my work since the journal of Flemish Engineers

[[/red underline]] Got also several letters from old friends in Belgium. This together with endless letters here and abroad, chew up my time when I have so many matters to attend and no clerical help. Celine this morning went to [[red underline]] Palm Beach to meet  Nina and Wyman. [[/red underline]] Dickie still in bed Afternoon drove to Fairchild garden. Weather today better than any we had thus far. Moderate easterly winds and blue skies and sunshine Temp. 70° [[underline]] Feb. 28. [[/underline]] [[red underline]] Dickie recovered. [[/red underline]] Came to the Anchorage this afternoon with her husband. - Both seem in excellent health. - Showed them some old photos made when Dickie was a child. Beautiful weather 
[[underline]] Feb. 29. [[/underline]] Went with ION to [[red underline]] Matheson's moorish castle with Dickie and von Hessert. [[/red underline]] Beautiful weather. Left 9:30 AM Back at 12:10 P.M. - Afternoon here beautiful weather
