Very striking phenomenon but not so striking as was the case in ^[[Jacksonville]] where the [[red underline]] moon casts its shadow exactly in the middle of the sun, thus forming a brillant ring [[/red underline]] of sunshine around the dark center at Jacksonville. Celine had an exhibit of some of her paintings in Miami Beach

Yesterday had the visit of [[red underline]] Dr. Bender [[/red underline]] of Bakelite Corp with his wife his young daughter and son.
[[strikethrough]] They [[/strikethrough]] in his comfortable closed motor car. = All were much interested in everything around the garden. - This little family [[red underline]] makes an excellent impression and I feel very proud to have such a man in our service. [[/red underline]] Many years ago he received his [[red underline]] doctor's diploma at Columbia University under [[/red underline]] my direction. I [[red underline]] wonder whether [[bold red underline]] George [[/bold red underline]] appreciates the value of this man [[/red underline]] 
[[underline]] April [[/underline]] 11. Yesterday [[red underline]] intense Naval fight between British ships and German [[/red underline]] around the waters of [[red underline]] Norway, Sweden and Danemark. [[/red underline]] and their coasts. Many ships sunk on both sides. But [[red underline]] German reports try as usual to mimimise their losses and [[/red underline]] exaggerate enemy losses. This afternoon went [[red underline]] out on ION with Murray and Rossi, [[/red underline]] as far as Sand Key and return. - Beautiful clear weather. [[red underline]] Sponges very active in clear water [[/red underline]] - Wind changed from Easterly to South. Did not catch a single fish.
