Andrew will attend to this at the "Anchorage". This morning [[red underline]] went to City hall to put in my ballot for [[/red underline]] one of the candidates for office. As my sheet in which I had to have the name of either [[red underline]] Democrat or Republican [[/red underline]] candidate, I was told [[red underline]] I could [[/red underline]]

Is equal to [[red underline]] 1.12 a share; [[/red underline]] [[strikethrough]] against 1.12 a share [[/strikethrough]] [[red underline]] against 58. cents per share a year before. [[/red underline]] 
[[underline]] April 26 (Sunday) [[/underline]] Celine left this morning for New York. [[underline]] April 27 1:10 P.M. [[/underline]] on fast train. Got some cash at bank. Beautiful weather. Fast train with large number of Jews and children. (Diesel Engine) [[strikethrough]] van [[/strikethrough]] [[red underline]] Von Ribbentrop [[/red underline]] gave a long radio talk about the Germans having occupied [[red underline]] Norway & Sweden and bragging [[/red underline]] about their exploits.

Station in New York, where faithful Dick was awaiting me with the Motor car. - Pleasant spring like weather. Everybody well at "Snug Rock" This evening [[red and black underline]] Brooksie [[/red and black underline]] here, staying over night. - He seems taller than ever. Seems in good health. Asked me endless questions about chemistry and everything. So it was late before I got to bed. - [[red underline]] He certainly is an intelligent boy. [[/red underline]] - I feel very tired [[underline]] April 29 [[/underline]] Got up badly rested. Spent day unpacking and classifying. Bright beautiful weather. Brooksie left with Celine to New York. Tried my hand at writing my speech for Philadelphia. But had to cease feeling tired and unfit and [[red underline]] pains in my back. [[/red underline]] Germans report more progress.
