At Snug Rock all day. A sucession of hot weather. Thermometer as high as 88 and even 90°F.

[[underline]] July 21. Sunday. [[/underline]] At Snug Rock all day classifying my papers. - [[underline]] July 22. [[/underline]] Went to office this morning. [[red underline]] George [[/red underline]] not there. - Is now in [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] our [[red underline]] Adirondacks [[/red underline]] camp with his wife. - Wrote letter of introduction for him to the Bay Biscayne Yacht Club and interesting places before he takes the Air-train to South America. - Hot weather.
Very hot sultry day. - Returning to Snug Rock found letter from Celine that George and his wife are at our camp in Adorondacks, ^[[Adirondacks,]] and that [[red underline]] George begins to doubt whether it is worth while to go to South America [[/red underline]] under present conditions. 
[[underline]] July 23. [[/underline]] Went to office. George there has entirely changed his mind of going to South America. - Feel glad [[strikethrough]] about it [[/strikethrough]] I went to World's Fair. Mailed $300.00 to Andrew. - More fighting going on in Europe and Africa
