141/ The newspaper was sent by E. Koralek - Casilla 1062. Santiago de Chile. whom I do not know. More than a full page is given about my career and Bakelite and my pioneering [[strikethrough]] in the s. [[/strikethrough]] etc etc. together with a rather misfit portrait of myself. Also describes my career since my Ghent university days and [[strikethrough]] how a [[/strikethrough]] early professorate. How a won the hand of Professor Swarts daughter - my inventions in photography, "Velox" etc. My sale to Eastman then Bakelite etc. etc and his many applications. I wonder how he got all this information? [[underline]] Dec. 11.[[/underline]] Started packing for Florida [[underline]] Dec 12. [[/underline]] At Yonkers, packing my trunks [[underline]] Dec 13. [[/underline]] This afternoon at Trustees Room faculty Meeting at 3:10 P.M. Well attended meeting Butler presiding  Afterwards went to Faculty Club where met Prof. Rautenstrauch? and later Prof. Ury, Nobel Prize, and talked about various matters. [[vertical note in left margin]] Excellent meeting, well attended and admirably presided by President Butler. [[/vertical note in left margin]] After he left Prof R. began to talk about the necessity of organisation of a third political party, something similar as had recently attacked [[end page]] [[start page]] \142  ^[[Nicholas Murray Butler]]  Butler. He asked me to contribute one thousand Dollars in cash for this party. - I flatly refused and expressed my opposition, and I left the Club. - Shortly before, Prof Ury had left [[strikethrough]] our [[/strikethrough]] us. - Is this an aftermath of recent published attacks on Butler? I took the Elevated and Troley car to Yonkers, and arrived at Snug Rock about 9.P.M. - It was interesting to study the men, women and children on the subway and then later in the Trolley car.
