The newspapers of Yonkers publish the fact that the widow of my friend Eictsemeyer [[?]] committed suicide, by filling her house or certain rooms thereof with escaping gas, which she exploded by lighting a light. She was the daughter of Mr. Brevoort one of the oldest and best known families of Yonkers. Before committing suicide she had arranged to distribute her money for charitable and educational purposes. Her brother a few years ago left New York in a small boat and has never been heard of since then.
