This evening had the visit of Judge Ritter and his wife. Most conversation was about the war.

Tuesday Feb 11. Frieda arrived. - Most of the day violent rain.

Wednesday morning, went out early in pram, with darky Rowl. Splendid sailing weather. Mailed a letter to my sister Rachel via "Air Mail"
Wrote also a letter to Dean Barker to Dr. Hixson and to Miss Bidwell to whom I had sent a box of oranges 
Thursday Feb 13. Received a long letter from an old pupil from my early years when I was teaching chemistry and physics at the higher normal school of Bruges. His name and address is: 38 Avenue des Ceresiers, Brussels. - He told me how I made a demonstration with Nitroglycerine

Went out in Pram with colored man Rowl. - Strong wind against us in returning home; but interesting experience
