War news report that the Greeks who until now have been beating the Nazis are losing ground and seem to be over taken by the Nazis. - Visit of Mr. Lawson Sanford of Yonkers and his wife while Celine was away but repeated their visit during afternoon. [[strikethrough]] Saturday 26. [[/strikethrough]] ^[[Friday]]. - George and his wife came here and spent large part of day here. They left this evening with 9 P.M train for New York. - More bad news from war
[[underlined]] Saturday 26. [[/strikethrough]] - This morning left with Paul, on our motor car to follow the restored rail-road from Miami to Key West. Drove thru a well roaded contry [[strikethrough]] for [[/strikethrough]] on which ran a continuous stream of motor cars. - The damages of the former hurricane and the building of excellent travel bridges of white stone have much changed the and improved the former road. The traffic altho rather heavy in some places is well regulated. A number of easily accessible places has now attracted many more yachts and fisher-men. - new pleasant houses [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] hotels and country clubs.
However, by the time we reached home again I felt very tired and hungry.
