The Xrays reveal that Bon-Bon has some gall stones. They are not serious and Dr. James Cahill, her physician is an urologist and a teacher at the College of Physicians, tells me that no operation will be necessary on her gall bladder. As in all these gallstone cases it is advisable to avoid fatty foods, which are not well digested in such cases
She seems well and cheerful and irked only by the necessity of being bossed around by hospital attendants. It would be my guess that she will not be in this hospital very long

[[underlined]] May 13. [[/underlined]] Was glad to be informed by George ^[[Baekeland]] that Celine feels much better and is on her way to recovery. For quietness sake she will stay at Columbia Medical Center for a little longer. 
This morning went to vote for our local election. Afternoon went out in ION, with Paul Willike, and Rowl. - Fine weather.

[[/underlined]] from the Nazis, that Rudolf Hess, third in command in the Nazi group, had flied away from Germany in his army flying machine, and descended in Scotland. Berlin says he is crazy because he wants the war to stop now. He was not crazy because he knows that Hitler can do with "blood-purges."
Nor was Hess insane, but well balanced and atmost desirous to stop this crazy war.
