[[underlined]] August 11 [[/underlined]] Beautiful day (Monday) so with dick went to the Zoological garden; so beautifully developed and improved in the Bronx by New York City so well directed by Mr. Moses, to whom we owe the admirable improvements in and around New York City. But this new and improved Zoo surpasses any zoological gardens I ever have

visited in other countries. It is decidedly superior to the garden near London, not only in subjects but in general management, open to the public without paying admission. But takes further in consideration any of the comforts for children visitors as well as men and women. - Nor does the Berlin Zoo [[strikethrough]] ca [[/strikethrough]] notwithstanding its representation come within comparison.
