Since a very long time I have received no further information about my sister in Brussels. - Do not know whether she is still alive or ill. - So am mailing a letter for information at the boarding house in Brussels, where she lived ever since the war began.

[[/underlined]] Drove with Dick to the house of Prof. Hixson who lives in New Jersey. - Had a long talk about Columbia and some of its professors, who are inclined towards the "reds". Fortunately there are very few of this kind in comparison of some of the New York schools, who are now gradually being eliminated. Most of the latter come from foreign European countries.
At the moment I left the Columbia building [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[strikethrough]] I noticed some people were standing before the door opening on the main street - - Later on I learned that one of the professors of the Engineering department had dropped death while opening the door.
