the subway. to Yonkers. It so happened that some distance after 72 street. Our car had to empty its passagers and before I know it I was in a totally different direction, when to take troley cars and then again a train which finally landed me at Cortland, whence finally after several hours cruising on various routes I was on our Yonkers. car. - Celine was not at Snug Rock, she remained with Dickie in the latter's house. I felt very glad when I finally was at home again. - I shall be more careful in the future.
[[underlined]] November [[/underlined]] 22. - Still suffering by my cold but not so much as the former days. - Beautiful day altho' cold. - Celine left here this morning early to visit Dickie and her new boy. She stayed there most of the day.

That horrible Lewis has finally ceased his horrible attitude in relation to workmen, whose money he managed to get. - What next will he invent to repeat his tricks! - Celine painting some new subjects on the Hudson near "the Crags". Beautiful weather for this purpose
