Finally reached Miami station on time. - Paul was there with his car and one of the negros handled the other car. Warm weather very different of what we had when leaving New York At our arrival at Snug Rock had the agreeable surprise of finding Dr. & Mrs. Fairchild [[strikethrough]] waited [[/strikethrough]] waiting for our arrival. Also Mr and Mrs. and had a long interesting talk about present situation of war and civilisation.

[[underlined]] Cold [[/underlined]] rain and rain all night, morning and afternoon until about five. Took a short walk getting reacquainted with my surroundings of my Florida home..
