The young man in the photo above is Freddie Williams, one of a number of persons who manned the registration places set up in business establishments along Fillmore Street last week. Seated is Mrs. Margie Powell, who is being registered before the Sept. 13 deadline. The young lady standing is Joan Lovett, a member of the Junior council of the National Council of Negro Women. These young ladies assisted the last minute drive to get everyone eligible to register to vote. -Cox photo

JR. COUNCIL AIDS IN REGISTRATION DRIVE
The Junior Council the teen-age unit of the San Francisco chapter of the National Council of Negro Women, has been putting its shoulder to the wheel in helping to get the Citizenship Education program underway.
Last week these young ladies formed a marching line on Fillmore Street, directing people to proper places to register before the Sept. 13 deadline.
