[[underlined]]The San Francisco chapter of the National Council of Negro Women launched their Citizenship Education project[[//underlined]] here last week with a motorcade which toured the streets urging citizens to vote. Some of the women who participated in the motorcade are shown above with their placards. Left to right, are Mesdames Lurline White, Sally Edwards, Lulu Carter, Illa Buckner, Beuiah Staton, Eddye Keaton Williams, Margaret Buford, Cathryn Williams,, Esther Wise and Dola Miller, II. EVEN THE YOUNGEST MEMBERS of the community lent support to the motorcade held last weekend as a reminder to all adult citizens to register and vote. The motorcade was sponsored by the [[underlined]]local chapter of the National Council of Negro Women to stimulate interest in this project.[[//underlined]] Some of the participants are left to right, Mrs. Ida Mae Hughes, Mrs. Gertrude Gumbs (who is receiving the wholehearted cooperation of her tiny granddaughter), Joan Blalock, an unidentified young worker, Gloria Mitchell and Yvette Hammond.
