[[underlined]] Zon. excavatus [[/underlined]] | 3. The object of the day's excursion was to search for this shell which had hitherto never been found in the Sligo area. One specimen, type, was found near the close of the days expedition, under a rotten stick by the little stream which flows into the small lake on the eastern edge of Slish Wood. The specimen is no doubt frequent in this non-calcerous district.
