Albert Shoemake - trapper - says snow is terrible - has 25 stations out & many now inaccessible. Says he poisoned 2 badgers once several years ago. Also poisoned 2 weasels once with rabbit meat. None this winter at all. Hasn't found a badger - skunks or any other fur bearer. Saw 2 or 3 poisoned eagles. plenty of magpies. Transcription Notes:
Baker, Idaho The word "Baher" - if that is correct spelling on my part - really stumped me. Would be very interested to know what Gabrielson wrote ("Bohen"?) and where this place was. I tried to research online and could not find reference to it. I'd tend more toward Baker than Baher, he mentions it in a previous page where I believe he travels from Baker to LA, and Baker is also a location in San Bernardino County, Ca. @PishaLambert1978
