[[check mark]] [[underlined]] Tufted Puffin [[/underlined]] One flock & scattered individuals

[[check mark]] [[underlined]] Glaucous winged Gull [[/underlined]] " [[ditto for: Several]]
[[check mark]] [[underlined]] Sooty Shearwater  [[/underlined]] about twenty scattered individuals. Very wild.
[[check mark]] [[underlined]] Old Squaw - [[/underlined]] One flock of twenty & numerous scattered individuals which might make total of 50 birds. Most of males in dark summer plumage about neck Long tail conspicuous
[[check mark]] [[underlined]] American Scoter [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] flew past boat at close range
[[check mark]] [[underlined]] White winged Scoter [[/underlined]] few
[[check mark]] [[underlined]] Surf Scoter [[/underlined]]
Came back home Looking at Marie Iris on way and finding them in good shape. Then home - Iris Jean and Grace Gail fishing as we came across the lake. Iris caught a small salmon & had one good strike. Home 9:30 pm
[[underlined]] May 9, 1932 [[/underlined]] Saw John for a few minutes there on way. Stopped & talked California situation over with Finley. He says most of local feeling is over bird work of Piper & Neff & killing of pigeons. Suggests abandonment of poison work at present. Stopped & saw Aird. He thinks he saved nation by going east. Very bitter at John for trying to block it.
