Lv. Santa Cruz & travel with Jacobsen thru the coast county & leave him at Vallejo after inspecting several areas for tricolored Redwings arrive in SF at 5:30pm & take a bath - clean up and see the Duffy players. 
[[underlined]] May 23, 1932 [[/underlined]] Spend morning writing up notes going over mail etc. Hot & sultry. In afternoon to Chamber of Commerce to see Bob Wilson and to Forest Office. Thence to Geo Tonkins place to see him & take a train to Reno at 10:24 pm.

Arrive Reno at 6:40 am Meet Sands. Dictate letters & spend balance of day checking over records in his office. To his home in evening for a very delightful time. Met Sam Wheeler Chairman State Sheep Commission.
May 25, 1932. Checking records in Sams office. Records in good shape. Checked in spots & in addition checked entire Jan 1931 skin record which checked out absolutely correct. Office records are as near perfect as one could expect.
During day [[Prof?]] Chappelle president of new Nevada State Audubon Soc. came in for a visit. In checking thru Sams records I found evidence that some Ranchers were still using
