  Jury took case at noon & Returned a verdict of guilty of embezzlement in two county just before 5:00 P.M. We left court at noon & held a little conference of the hunters at Tacoma Hotel after which I took [[Gunnoe?]] & MacMillin with Bowles to see Bowles collection. Thence to Olympia to Williams home.

  With Couch left Olympia 10:00 AM arr Westport at noon. Visit Warburton & tramp over tide flats. Many thousand [[underlined]] Least [[/underlined]] Sandpipers and Red backed Sandpipers on flats also few Black bellied Plover.
