Inaugural with Youngs listening to the address and then to see the parade. From there to Crouches for dinner & a party which ended up in a dance. Arrived in hotel at 2:00 AM tired out

Loafed all day. Ate breakfast in the room at 10-AM and slept again until 2:00 Dressed & visited Gilchrists friends. a Mr Wayland of the Valley Bank at Phoenix and a Mr. Elliott - Atty at Phoenix.

Call on Westwood of Nature Magazine who wants two flower articles. Wrote him one on Mt Hood flowers & one on rare & unusual plants of the West. Then called on Butler of American Forests who wants an article on bird nest life. Take train at noon and arrive at Guys at 500 PM.
