Mar 10, 1933
   At N.Y. call on McMillian (Mr Paterson) and discuss proposed book. Left M.S. so far as done with him also are Mr. Blanton sales mgr. who has reported sales of 600 copies of the book. Also see Marshall who said [[strikethrough]] Mar 11, 193 [[/strikethrough]] he sold out pretty well & said our bulbs were fine. Could get no money out of him. Saw Mr. Walters who promised some money for our accounts by Tuesday. 
Mar 11, 1933.
   Saw Mr. Geo. Stumpp and Mr. Sperling & talked things over with them. Think they are pretty hard up for ready cash but otherwise perfectly solvent. Mr. Sperling interested in [[strikethrough]] [[illegible]] [[/illegible]] [[/strikethrough]] new [[ldy?]] thinks we'll sell it to him. Returned to Guys for the evening and went to a picture show. 
March 12, 1933
   Slept late & then went for a walk with Guy Cora & the kids in the Jersey hills came home ate duck & slept some more & feel better than I have for days. 
Mar 13, 1933
   To N.Y first to office of Country Life where I found Mr. Barron out and arranged to meet him tomorrow. Next to Field & Stream where Ray Holland was pretty blue over the fact that the Harriman Nat failed to open today. He said he'd buy anything that knocked his eye out. Thinks I can do it. Then to Audubon Soc where I saw Holt Dr. Pearson,  Allen & Hadley. had lunch with Holt & Allen. Then to Garden Chronicle where I met Mrs. Hansell who was anxious to get some of my stuff
