Promised her an article or two Then to House & Garden where I met Mr Sevron who likes my book very well & who wants a series of articles - on the west - partly inspirational & non technical. Can furnish this Olympics - Welliman, Cascades, Mt Hood - Siskujous - Desert & Desert Ranges out of my head x Then back to Audubon Soc & with Holt to the explorers club where I met Dr. Chapin, Friedman of N.M., who is an old friend, Commander Pound of round the world fame - Dr. Forbes & several others. and arrived at Guys at 930 P.M.

In N.Y. at Stumpp & Walters and then to office of American Home & Country Life to see Leonard Barron who wants a lot of pictures - two spreads of 10-12 good plants for an average good gardner to use - pithy informative caption etc. then back to S. & W. to Peter Henderson & to Guys where I met Jack Burke and wife had a nice visit.

Left Newark at 845 AM on [[?]] and Dr. Munch met me and took me to Michell's where I had a good talk with Grossman He will buy from us eventually but could get no commitments now. Then with Munch to his lab. & about town with him afternoon & evening with Victor Mauch and then back to Munchs for night.
