April 15, 1933 Left Patricks Creek at 800 A.M. visited a lot of the area Doug Ingram & I worked on years ago and spent the entire day in Siskiyou N.F. Mortality from last winter among the plants was serious. Viola halli & Viola cuneata just coming into bloom & others showing buds. A few buds on S. oppositifolia & also on [[Hespivelurion?]]. Many others blooming sparingly. Arrived in Portland 200 AM. April 16, 1933. Spent Easter day with the kids except that I took plants to the nursery and unpacked birds brot home from trip. April 17, 1933. In office all day. caring for mail & conferring with Jewett April 18, 1933. Same as above. A great mass of accumulated mail kept me busy all day & I catalogued birds at home. April 19, 1933 Continuation of same activities. April 20, 1933. Continuation of same activities & visited the nursery in the evening. April 21, 1933. Continuation of same all day. finished calatogueing the birds. April 22, 1933. At home mowed lawn & worked around the place after got there in the evening Spent the afternoon confering with F.L. Bullard & Prof. Brant. In evening to nursery.
