but could not find any shore birds at all. 
July 20, 1933
Went out on Ocean in Pauline B. with C.J., Iris and Jean also fishing party.
Saw comparably few species of birds. 
1. [[underlined]] Marbled Murrelet. [[/underlined]]  a number & two collected in good summer plumage
2. [[underlined]] Western Gull [[/underlined]] few
3. [[underlined]] Farralone Cormorant [[/underlined]] (few)
4. [[underlined]] Brant's Cormorant [[/underlined]]
5. [[underlined]] Baird's Cormorant [[/underlined]]
6. [underlined]] Pink footed Shearwaters [[/underlined]] The most abundant bird present. Scattered all over ocean.
7.[underlined]] Sooty Shearwater [[/underlined]] common but less abundant than the above.
8. [underlined]] Red Phalarope. [[/underlined]] common in partial red plumage
9. [underlined]] Northern Phalarope. [[/underlined]] common & changing.
10. [underlined]] Pigeon Guillemot [[/underlined]] Jewett killed two on shore but I only saw one offshore
11. [underlined]] Pul. Murre [[/underlined]] common but only saw one youngster

Left office in AM on budget matters and spoke to Isaacs League in PM. on Factors influencing abundance of Game Species. Attended banquet.
