At Sam's place all day skinning birds in the refrigerator and a lumet that dropped dead in his yard. Prepare for trip. Clara worried  that Grace Gail had to go back to the hospital for another mastoid operation. Called home & found she was better today. Arranged to have word sent to me that she was progressing or not. 
Aug 14, 1933
Left Reno at 645 A.M. arrived at Ely at 730 PM. 
Just out of Fallon I killed an albino kingbird and a night Hawk. stopped for lunch near Eastgate & skinned the birds and also a chickadee then continued on into Ely. Conference with Mr. Elliot & Rasmmusen. also Townsend. saw following birds.
