The birds are in terrible shape but there is a Marbled Godwit - a Saw Whet Owl and a Pygmy Owl all locally taken according to Prof Brown. No data Elmer Bourne came to house in evening. He is an enthusiastic Beginner on Birds Aug 22, 1933 To office & cared for mail. Left at 10.00 AM for Mono Forest. Stopped for a while on Pine Nut Range and also on the mountain above Virginia City, the old mining town on the Comstock Lode. Saw very few Birds. [[check mark]] 1. Beldings squirrel abundant No birds here to speak of. Made camp at 4:45 in yellow pine grove.
