Rained during the night and much new sign of gopher activity. Wesleys Goshawk 1 Sharp shinned Hawk (1) Sept 22, 1933 With Cresnian Dist Attorney over North fork of Grouse creek. Saw usual birds but continued gopher activity. Jewett still unable to walk [[Saptich?]] went with Rodgers to Lick Co in car Sept 23, 1933 To Gumboot Area with Jewett Rodgers & Crissman. Gopher sign & work everywhere. Birds about the same. Saw three deer from the car a forked horn & two does. Birds still plentiful in currant patch in evening before it started to rain again
