Oct 11, 1933

Left Willows at 8 [[underline]] 00 [[/underline]] AM & spent most of day checking over stony ford area.  Good job poisoning as diggers very scarce in territory treated while still quite common in untreated areas.  Some evidence of beginning of hibernation arrived in Sacto at 5 [[underline]]00[[/underline]] PM.  Met Keyes & secured mail.  Found House & Garden had accepted all 5 articles.  Hurrah for our side.  Wrote notes & skinned a few birds.
Oct. 12, 1933
  In office all day assisting Poole-Keyes-Neff & Hansen. Jacobsen came down shortly after lunch and had a good talk with him.  To Pooles for dinner in [[insert]] the evening. Miss Nelson came[[/insert]] down in PM and got out my letters.
Oct. 13, 1933
Saw Jacobsen & Dr C. U. Duckworth in AM and left Sacto about 9 [[underline]] 20 [[/underline]] AM with Keyes. To .S.F & conferred with Shaw-Diering etc also Bob Wilson and then to Berkeley where visited Horn, & C.J. arrived Berkeley 400 PM

Left Berkeley at 8 [[underline]] 00 [[/underline]] AM- Foggy & cold & crossed to Madera.  Thence up into hill country along edge of Sierra Forest.  to North Fork and then finally into Fresno where we had a Mexican dinner which wasn't too good.  Met Lewis our foreman in this job down here.  Skinned five horned larks & wrote four letters before going to bed
arrived at Fresno 7 [[underline]]00[[/underline]] PM.
Oct. 15, 1933
 Didn't sleep well last night as a drunken bunch raised a row all night long.  Left Fresno 8[[underline]] 00 [[/underline]] AM with Lewis & Keys and spent the day on Tule Indian Reservation & Sequoia
