700 PM.
Feb 4, 1934.
Left Blocks at 900 AM to Pomeroy & visited Davenport C.W.A. hunter & went over 5 poison stations. This is a fine looking man who carries himself well. His stations & a little to close to the road in some respects but otherwise good. We found three coyotes all at one station and a single magpie at same station Eagles had torn all of them badly & in one case had destroyed the ears. The men are all bitter against eagles and are killing them at every opportunity. Warned all of them against the practice. left Davenport at 330 PM & visit hunter Phelps at Daytin & then on into Walla Walla at 945 PM where Conners left me. Call Clara & arrange to meet her at The Dalles.
