[[start page]] June 22, 1934 With Finley & Worcester to Link river where we saw a huge colony comprised [[overstrike]]most[[/overstrike]] Ring [[underline]]billed[[/underline]] & [[underline]]California gulls.[[/underline]] Lots of birds on the river. Saw many family parties of young [[underline]]Canada geese[[/underline]], several of [[underline]]Redhead[[/underline]] & one of [[underline]]Ruddy Ducks[[/underline]], Lots of [[underline]]Pelicans - Night Herons & Western Grebes[[/underline]] Left Klamath Falls at 3:30 P.M. arr. Portland 1:00 A.M. June 23, 1934 At home resting from trip & skinning birds. To nursery in evening and then to bed, tired out. June 24, 1934 Wrote all day on an article for Country Life & to nursery in evening. June 25, 1934 In office. Gave dad a check for 125.00 to apply on the place at the lake, only owe 225.00 on it now, & it will be all ours. Busy all day with correspondence etc. June 26, 1934 At [[overstrike]]office[[/overstrike]] hospital all day [[overstrike]]writing on reports & correspondence[[/overstrike]] letting doctor poke at my tummy June 27, 1934. Same as above only more so. June 28, 1934 Returned to office Continued working on reports & correspondence & Birds of Oregon June 29, 1934 Same as above except in morning with John to Eagle Creek to look over birds secured eight all common [[??]] ravelos [[/??]] June 30, 1934 To office working on reports & correspondence & left at 3:00 P.M. for Devils Lake arriving at 6:30 P.M.
