Found Keyes much improved in health. He & Jake seem to be on friendly terms again. Dinner with Joe and then to Frisco arriving at 1030 P.M. [[strikethrough]] Sept 14, 1934. To Berkeley to Bubonic Plague committee meeting & Dr. Meyer-Hazeltine US Public Health. Dr. Kofoid, Jake - E. Raymond Hall & self. Sept 16, 1934 Over Kit Carson Pass. 8600 feet. via Lake Tahoe & Back to Tahoe & to Reno via Mt Rose. Climbed above Pass to about 9600 feet. Birds few. Car balked with defective pump operation and a man named Lee Arthur from FERA at Reno came along & fixed the cussed thing - arrived Reno at 500 pm confer with Sam
