Left Dunsmuir Cal. 6 00 AM Cold & stormy but sun came out before arriving at Klamath at noon.  Saw Worcester & flying squad also Fairchild. and on into Portland at 10 00 P.M.

In Portland office caring for mail etc.
Dec. 7, 1934
 In office in morning Lv Portland at noon  arrive in Tacoma 6 00 PM  Stopped on account of dense fog which made driving impossible. Stan Warboutons party in evening.
Dec. 8, 1934
Fog so thick it could be cut with an ax. Waited until 10 00 AM before starting. arr Everett noon. See Glenn Davis, Congressman Wolgrene, Ransome, Furness etc. visited areas of duck damage.  Found 4 fields of turnips badly damaged & 1 cabbage patch. Both close to dikes. All of tops eaten except leaf midribs. at night went out to shoot bombs in turnip patches

Looked in on Ermarisen property of mouth of skaget for possible duck refuge.  And then to Portland at 10 30 PM.
