April 26, 1935 and thinks briny has a better set up & also saw coon, & rabbit breeding experiments question the value of them from a game standpoint. Saw one good duck sua[[?]] with a number of black & wood ducks hanging around. Returned to Hartford at 7:00 PM and talked with Dalke & Clark until midnight. Clark is also very anxious to get the research station there at Storrs & has written the chief to that effect. April 27, 1935 Left Hartford at 8:30 am and drove to East Orange via [[strikethrough]] B[[?]] [[/strikethrough]] Bear Mt Bridge arriving at 3:30 PM. where I found Clara & our kids OK. April 28, 1935 At East Orange all day taking the first Sunday off that I've had yet. Took Jean & Iris over to N.Y. in afternoon. April 29, 19356 To N.Y. to talk with Bob Lemon of House & Garden and Norman Taylor of Houghton Mifflin Co. also saw Montague Free in Brooklyn Botanico Garden April 30, 1935 Lv. N.Y. at 8:00 AM and arrive at Washington DC at 5:00 PM. Beautiful day for drive and had a very enjoyable trip. Clara came with me and house hunted. May 1, 1935 In Washington at office caring for mass of mail & other works. Clara came down in evening to meet me. May 2, 1935 General office work & contact with Rate[[?]] of forest service
