Up at 500 AM & gathered up Dr. Fisher & Clegget bound for Wachapreague Va. We left Annapolis at 800 AM and ferried to Claiborne on the eastern shore. Had a short time to look around Annapolis. Its narrow streets and ancient buildings make it look incredibly old compared western towns. Arrived at Wachapreague at about 300 PM after a leisurely trip down the peninsula. Watchapreague is a quaint & smelly little fishing town. with a huge pile of oyster shells in front of the main hotel. Arranged for a trip on bay with Edgar Bunting.

Out on Bay at 730 AM-Cold, cloudy & raw. Weakfish or sea trout & crokers biting & we fished for them using squid for bait. Slow work today & I enjoyed looking at birds more. We caught altogether some 15~twenty fish but I didn't do at all well. My contribution was one weak fish 5 lbs. One skate - numerous crabs & 1 starfish. Killed two laughing gulls & two terns with the aux. Saw following
1. Black Spinner 5 or six my first.
2. Laughing Gulls C
3. Herring [[ditto for Gulls]] [[ditto for C]]
