June 10. In Corvallis with Jewett-Rush-Ashbrook met us in Corvallis & we got several things started.  Returned to Portland about midnight
June 11, 1935
  In office all day on many matters. Bids  accepted on furniture moving and CJ will be there tomorrow.  Had a hectic day in the office & didn't accomplish much work.  Learned the game [[insert]] syn [[?]] [[/insert]] had appropriated money for the research unit and wired the chief.

Very busy in office C.J. helping with the packing and Jim worked in office  At night visited John Carter & then to Dads.
June 12, 1935
 Cabinets left the office, & C.J. finished at house.  turned keyes over to Rush.  To Berry's in the evening for a short time.
June 13, 1935
Said goodbye at office & to Miss Verey & left at 9 30 AM.  Picked up Clara June & got away at 10 30.  Ate lunch at Maupin at noon.  Saw a pair of [[underline]] Hungarian [[/underline]] Partridges in road south of Maupin with 14 newly hatched young Clara June caught one in her hands. Arrived in K. Falls at 6 30 PM & had conference Fairchild, Young, Sweeny etc. & returned at 11 30 PM
June 14, 1935
Lv-Klamath Falls t 8 00 AM & drove to Sacramento-near Midland we saw a [[underline]]gull followed [[/underline]] & harassed by two angry blackbirds  Suddenly swoop & pick a nestling blackbird out of a nest 1 presumably
