Saw numerous dams & duck ponds which will make good nesting areas & in some places perhaps nesting grounds [[strikethrough]] , [[/strikethrough]] . Fine construction work on some of them & two of the new ones (one complete & one partially complete) will make big lakes with lots of shallow water. Tired & hot tonight

Send Treuch a list of birds seen on Wichita. Spent day going over the Forest Looking at dams etc. Hot & sultry. Went around forest in P.M.
June 28, 1935
Left Wichita at 500 AM in a vicious rain storm which flooded the road and forced us to go back by Cache. We drove hard all day thru a dry & dusty Kansas & Oklahoma arriving at Pueblo at 1030 PM tired out & sleepy
