June 29, 1935
Left Pueblo 7 00 AM arr Denver at 9 00 AM Confer with Major Peck & Lyn Douglas on CCC programs.  See Sperry and Rites also Leo. Dinner with Leo & the  Lacys tonight
June 30, 1935
 To breakfast with Leo & them Leo & his wife, Mrs. Butler, Clara June & I went to the Park & up on Mt. Evans for the day.  We got up to 13,000 feet before being stopped by snow.  I saw two [[underline]] Lencosticle [[/underline]] and a pair of [[underline]] Ptarmigan [[/underline]] at close range.  also saw [[underline]] Primula parryi [[/underline]] for the first time.  It grew in tiny tufts in the gravel & was fairly covered with pink flowers.  Display was somewhat prominent on hillsides.  Lots of Lupine, Delplenimins, Argenine, & Aquilegia caerulea lower down.
 We returned to Denver & caught the 500 Columbine out to Ames.
July 1, 1935
Arrived at Ames at 11 00 AM met by Prof Hendrickson, Rush out to college & met Prof Drake & Dean Triley.  Discussed cooperation with them and looked over lab.  with Rush to Forest City in evening.

July 2, 1935
 with Rush to Okoboji Stopping enroute for a few minutes to see Mrs. Sap at Buffalo Center.  Met Mrs. Trankel, Mr. Boone a Mr. Woodcock & Dean Triley & Prof Drake to discuss cooperation Then out to Deweys pasture to
