Oct 7, 1935
with Tucker & Taylor to Bryan to interview A & M. Jocks[[?]].  Dean Kyle & President Walton both fine fellows and real he men.  Taylor still hates to move but I can't see him staying in Arizona[[?]] under present conditions.  Returned to Austin and took a plane out at 8.30P.M. arrived at Fort Worth at 10.00PM & Left at 11.00PM.

Oct 8, 1935
Arrive Tucson at 5.30A.M.  Tired & sleepy.  Go to hotel & clean up.  Went to University & visited with Gorsutch[[?]] - Voorhies[[?]] etc.  Saw Forrest Shreve at the Desert Lot in the afternoon & met Lewis State Game Warden, Pearson of Arizona Sportsmens Organisation etc for a meeting, where we argued things out.

Oct 9, 1935
With Voorhies[[?]] & Gorsutch[[?]] out to Madera Canyon in Santa Rita Range.  Taylor sick.  Walked several miles up & down canyons & slopes covered with live oaks saw darned few birds.
