  arrived Gulfport Miss at 10 50 AM and found Burleigh awaiting me.  We went to hotel & then right out to look over his work.  His experience seems to show conclusively this year at least rodents not numerous enough to affect pine reproduction.  He will have to check birds-bugs etc for the answer.

 Went out with Burleigh to New Orleans Stopping enroute to look at birds at Slidell Lousiana and Lake Ponchartrain Conference with Dealor. of Southern Experiment Station.  Found him very friendly and anxious to have the work expanded indefinitely
