and to work on. Studied budgets. Dec 27, 1935 Same as above & worked on wild life conference. Dec 28, 1935. In office all day. Clara came & took me to train at 4:30 PM. Left for St Louis. Dec 29, 1935 Arrived St Louis at 2:00 PM. Met Dr Drake of Ames etc. Out to Zoo in P.M in snow. Lovely time. Fine zoo. Keeper evidently an artist at his job. good collection of birds & snakes. There to Frank Weilandy's where I met Kellelis[[?]] Forest Service etc Ate quail on toast and Hausenpeffer Both good. Dec 30, 1935 At Wilson Club meeting. Met Irving Brant, Gorden Van Tyne, Logan Bennett and others. Talked in P.M. Next to luncheon in evening with a bunch of Missouri Duck Hunters. Good bunch. Talked to them. Dec 31, 1935 At Wilson Club & then with Taylor at Ecological Society of America. Taken sick just before I talked. Could hardly stand for cramps but got thru it somehow. Conference Taylor, Bennett etc. Also saw Sharp of Salyers division and Blakey of Forest Service who is coming to us on the 18th of January Left at 6:00 PM for Washington what a hell of a way to spend New Years eve.
