Mar 10, 1937 In office all morning. See McNary in afternoon & doctor at 5:00 P.M. Home for dinner & worked out my dang income tax. & brot notes up to date. Mar 11,1937. To office in morning work all day general office work. Very busy time in office but managed to clear desk some what. At home in evening. Mar 12, 1937 To Doctors for examination & had a very busy day afterwards. 10:30 appointment with Page & Sanford to go over Tule lake matters. Surely busy day. Palmers down. Mar 13, 1937. Went out to nursery & bot a Spiraea Van Houtte. Finished fertilizing yard Spaded in yard some & went to Oregon party in evening at [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] [[sligrhans?]]Had a good time. Danced with Mrs Merrill & Mrs Behlen. Mar 14, 1937 Snowed all day. Dictates Louisville speech and worked on book. Mar 15, 1937 In office still snowing hard but not freezing snow very mushy. In evening turned fluffier & began to pile up. Mar 16, 1937. Staff meeting Bell & Cottum on. In office all day Saw Silcox also Dr Alexander about resettlement areas & other matters of conflict between the two agencies. Work in office in PM. Home at night working up another chapter of book.
