April 3, 1937 cont. My first trout east of rockies & the first time I tried it anywhere here. Mr. Buckley [[strikethrough]] April 4, [[/strikethrough]] vice president of Canadian Northern R.R. came up. Also young Bruce son of ex senator Bruce of Md. April 4, 1937 Had a good rest. Rose at 9:00 AM. Breakfast and a good walk of 2 1/2 miles. Then home. Sykes, Chairman of Okla game commission came out for a visit in P.M. Also Dave Wickens & his wife. April 5, 1937. In office again. Many little matters worked out today. Dillon, Salyer, Young etc. came up. George Stobie of Maine here for a visit and saw Dr Wright. April 6, 1937 In office again, worked at desk all morning & over to [[Coltranes?]] office in PM. Home in evening. April 7, 1937 In office again. Nothing startling but a lot of work, tired of [[strikethrough]] ? [[/strikethrough]] the dam job. April 8, 1937 Left office noon - picked up Clara & drove to Haggerstown Md to Isaac Walton League meeting. Tired when we arrived but got a bowl of soup & felt better. Made a talk & then to hotel for a sleep. April 9, 1937 Slept late and drove leisurely home thru the rain. Felt better for the rest
