   In office all day working on a number of matters largely next years budgets. At home in evening looking after kids

   In office again on many small jobs. Bernie Maurels seems to be in trouble and I'm afraid he will not make it as a regional director.  Clara & C.J. arrived about 6:30 PM  C.J. looking terribly tired.  She should be from the number of things she has been carrying on.  She seems to have carried off the major honors up there.  Made senior honorary, Pres. of several clubs. one a 25.00 scholarship prize offered by sorority and a $217.50 scholarship for getting highest grades of any who made senior honorary. Pretty good for one 90 pound girl

   In office working on budgets on $6,000,000 and other funds, particularly duck stamp.  Had a busy day

   Another busy day with a mass of details pouring over my desk.  Nothing of outstanding importance.
June 11, 1937
   Again in office all day.  Many things coming up and many small jobs to look after.  It feels by night just like being hammered continually on the head for hours.
