[[in header]] salmon weight 13# [[/in header]] June 21, 1937 Cloudy & drizzly all day. I had a long day on the river despite the weather Landed one salmon on silver doctor no 3-0 fly after he had jumped 4 times. Played another of about same weight or a little more for a longer time than it took to land the first, but he jumped twice & leader broke. Hooked another but lost it after a few moments. Caught six trout on a salmon fly. Saw an Osprey & heard & saw an [[writeover]] Myrtle [[/writeover]] warbler at Camp. Heard birds all around but did no go ashore after them. June 22, 1937 Another cloudy but cold day. I went to 11 mile pool, with guide Harry Irving. Didn't see a fish or raise one but caught eight trout. Saw dang few birds June 23, 1937 A beautiful day. Darling caught 5 salmon & grilse yesterday & we had the grilse for dinner last night It was delicious I fished 9 mile down to & including eight mile. No fish & no sign of fish. Came back early & walked up telephone line to the tole road & along it. Saw a deer this morning & jumped another along trail today plenty of deer sign. Timber has all been logged by selective logging but its hard to detect by looking at a slope unless one gets right into it. Birds scarce. Can guess only at warblers. Certainly one water thrush - possibly Blackburnian warbler & Canada Warbler. I'm sure of Black throated Green
