July 21, 37 cont
and Anderson caught 7 3/4lb lake trout & I got a 4 pounder my first. We went on to Big Cedar thru a little creek and saw a broad winged Hawk carrying a snake across the small bay into which we entered. We saw an American Merganser hen followed by about 30 young (1/2) half grown young.
In the evening there were many whip-poor wills calling one within 60 feet of tent.
I saw at least two pair of loons on Little Cedar & two pair on the parts of the Big Cedar lake visited. We went to a sandy beach & put up tent & then fished a while.
