Aug 29, 1937
   Arose early & Lincoln & I skinned two hummers & shrike & then on the way.  We stopped twice on the summit above Jacala & collected birds  Saw several we didn't get.
1.  Big hummers, like those yesterday
2.  Small  "  [[ditto for: hummers]] 4
3.  Vireo (sev) 1 collected
4.  Goldfinch  several
5.  Bird like tiny chat
6.  Sparrow
At second stop we collected more & saw more.
1.  California woodpecker type col 2)
2.  Arizona Jay  6 (col 1)
3.  Flicker  2
4.  Flycatcher  (1 col)
5.  Chat like bird  2(col)
6.  Towhee  1
7.  Second place had more live oak & pine which first ran strong to cedar.  Second stop reminded me of California foothills country.  We broke the cane gun purchased yesterday at Mexico City at this point  & drove to [[Thimusavehane?]] (?) for dinner.  It was hotter than hell
